On October 10th, Westminster will host its Dog of the Year competition, organised by the Dogs Trust and the Kennel Club.
Caroline Spelman will take along a rescue dog in the hope of encouraging households to consider taking in a rescue dog in need of a loving home.
Caroline says, “I have every faith in my dog and that together we will make a great team, and that way increase the dog’s chances of finding a new home. I've been to Kenilworth dog centre and seen how much care they take in matching dogs to new owners.”
The Dogs Trust Kenilworth website has details of many of the dogs in the centre at the moment.
The competition celebrates the unique bond between Man and Dog, as well as promoting responsible dog ownership and dog welfare. The event itself is light-hearted, although the competition is fierce!
