Dame Caroline Spelman visited the new Haven Breast Cancer Centre in Solihull ahead of its official opening by West Midlands Mayor Andy Street.
The Meriden MP, who is a Parliamentary Breast Cancer Ambassador has been very supportive of the chairty and has hosted a number of fund raising events - including one at her home, to raise money for the new service.
Speaking during the visit to the centre, Dame Caroline said:
The new facility here in Solihull is going to be officially opened by Andy Street, the West Midlands Mayor next week. All I can tell you is this is going to be a great place when you need help, when you need advice, when you need support and when you need therapy. We are very lucky to have this facility here in Solihull which will provide support right across the region.
I would encourage local people to do all they can to help the Haven - it is such an outstanding chairty, and I hope that it may continue to serve our area for decades to come.
