Residents of Castle Bromwich fell silent to remember the nation’s fallen heroes as part of the annual Remembrance Sunday commemorations. Hundreds of residents assembled to pay their respects at the village’s war memorial before joining together with friends and neighbours at Arden Hall for refreshments after the ceremony.
The service was attended by local representatives including; local MP Dame Caroline Spelman, Solihull Borough Councillors and Castle Bromwich Parish Councillors.
Dame Caroline said, “It is an honour to be able to join residents at the memorial in Castle Bromwich to pay my respects to the brave men and women of our armed forces; particularly those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country”.
