Local MP Caroline Spelman was among the many visitors when Earlswood Garden & Landscape Centre held its first ever Christmas Market over 4 weekends ending on 16th December. The market had over 30 unique local stallholders, selling a wide selection of gifts, Christmas trees, LED lights & figures, home decorations, local food like onion bargees and mulled white wine from Worcestershire, sweets and clothing. There was also a Santa’s Grotto including real reindeer.
Caroline said: “I was thrilled to be asked to visit the new Christmas Market which was very successful and a lot of fun for the stall-holders as well as the shoppers. I was very impressed with the quality of the fresh free-range turkey, meats and vegetables on sale and enjoyed a tasty sample of good, hearty produce. The highlight of my visit was meeting Santa Claus – he is probably used to grotto guests somewhat younger than myself, but he didn’t seem to mind and readily posed for a picture.”
Earlswood Garden & Landscape Centre is open seven days a week. More information is available on www.earlswoodglc.co.uk.
