Two local charities have benefited from the latest round of the National Lottery’s Awards For All. The Playing Field Fitness Trail Project won £10000 as did the Sowing Together, Growing Together Project.
Caroline Spelman, MP for Meriden constituency, said: “I want to congratulate both of them on their awards. It’s always good news to hear that charities in Meriden have extra funding for their activities.
“The Playing Field Fitness Trail Project is run by the Parish Council in Hampton-in-Arden, West Midlands. The group will use the funding to install outdoor fitness equipment for the community. “Sowing Together, Growing Together is a community gardening project Knowle C.E. Primary School. Thanks to the award, the group will use the funding to develop a garden area for the community. This will create an outdoor space for the beneficiaries to enjoy and promote social cohesion and healthy eating.
