Dame Caroline Spelman is encouraging local residents to take part in a new consultation being undertaken by Birmingham Airport on changes to the Northbound Runway (33) flight paths. These changes may affect local residents living in Marston Green, Chelmsley Wood, Kingshurst, Fordbridge and Castle Bromwich.
In launching the consultation, the Airport explained that they ‘are required to implement new flight paths because of a national programme to modernise UK airspace, which is introducing changes in the technology used to navigate aircraft and which aims to deliver a more efficient airspace system for the UK’.
The consultation runs from Monday 3rd July 2017 until Monday 9th October 2017. During that time, I would be pleased to present any concerns that local residents may have about these proposals to Birmingham Airport and would urge local residents who live on the flight paths to engage with this consultation before it concludes in October.
