I know many constituents have experienced poor care at Spire Parkway and Spire Little Aston. The Care Quality Commission has since carried out inspection of these hospitals and there is an ongoing legal process to handle the claims of medical negligence at the hospital.

I have been working closely with some of the patients who experienced poor care to bring their concerns to the Secretary of State for Health. I further submitted a petition to the House of Commons in January 2016 which highlighted the concerns that have been raised about medical insurance cover in relation to cases of clinical negligence.
